The Land Of Beginning Again
Have you ever heard of a wonderful place
Called the land of beginning again
Where we can lay down for very little cost
Our worries, our past and our sins
Where the blunders of youth, the trials of old age
Will never be thought of again
Where each day is new, and the faces are too
In the land of beginning again
No more the ghosts to shout in our dreams
Of the pain we caused brother or friend
Or the smile that we dashed from a little child's face
In the land of beginning again
Where no wrinkles grow on the faces we know
Where no heart breaks ever again
Where nothing I do can ever hurt you
In the land of beginning again
To quietly slip from the harness of life
No longer to hurt foe or friend
Oh how I long to burst into love's song
In the land of beginning again
Yet God you know, that I have been true
Your faithful hammer I often have been
But now let me be what I want to be
In the land of beginning again
Just let me take every heart I made ache
Every dark and despicable sin
Cast into the sea, no longer to be
In the land of beginning again
