Achaiah is the Angel of Patience. Impatience is such a common affliction that we take it for granted. Whenever things don't move along as quickly or as smoothly as we would wish we are liable to frown or grimace in frustration. Impatience stems from our desire to control things, a reluctance to go with the flow. We should really welcome the chance to slow down and take more notice of the world around us.
Achaiah is also called the Discoverer of the Secrets of Nature - another clue to the merits of patience. Patience allows us the time to observe and recognize the natural rhythms and patterns of things. And appreciation is a magical two-way process, for nature loves to take us into her confidence if she feels esteemed.
If you would like to let go of all the frustration and tension that goes with impatience, call upon the Angel Achaiah to help you. You don't have to write him a petition or perform an invocation, just learn to observe yourself and, whenever you catch yourself getting impatient, slow down, close your eyes for a second, and breath the name Achaiah. Imagine him winking at you with a wise, knowing smile, then open your eyes, take a breath, and slip into the flow. You'll soon get the hang of it.
