Various angels have been accorded the title Prince of Peace, but the greatest of these is Seraphiel, chief of the highest-ranking angelic choir, the Seraphim. The Seraphim are the angels of love and light who guard the throne of God. They are therefore the closest to the ineffable "Peace of God that Passeth Understanding."
Few mortals have ever beheld the dazzling presence of a Seraph, and their presence cannot be evoked. The following ritual, however, can help one reach a seraphic state of divine contemplation. Choose a moment when you are feeling peaceful. Take a relaxing bath and make yourself comfortable. Burn you favourite incense and light a single white candle. Place it in front of you with the flame at eye level. Say a simple prayer in gratitude for all your blessings and in recognition of the infinite love of God. Then, close your eyes and allow the afterimage of the flame to fill your whole being with peaceful, loving light. Let the light become ever brighter, without becoming uncomfortable. Imagine the light to be made up of a myriad of angels of peace uplifting you into the Divine Presence. This ritual is best performed at night, allowing you to drift off to sleep after what can be an extraordinarily uplifting experience.
