Och is a favorite angel in occult angelology.  As the Angel of  Alchemy,  he can provide the knowledge and understanding required by those undertaking the Great Work.  As the guardian of  the Elixir of  Life, he can extend the lives of  those who successfully invoke him.  He is a Prince of  the Sun, under Archangel Michael, and is said to rule 36,536 legions of  solar spirits.

The Sun rules the heart, and Och is the angel to call upon to keep it healty.  The heart is not only the vital organ that circulates the blood around the body, but is also the seat of  the soul.  Spiritual growth is dependent on how much we care, our will to love - how much heart we have.  Och understands all the mysteries of  the heart and can assist in all cardiac problems, as well as less obviously organic matters of the heart.

Och sould be invoked on a Sunday, preferably at noon, when the Sun is at its Zenith.  Light six white, yellow or gold candles and burn some frankincense, myrrh, or copal.  The following prayer, or something similar, should be addressed to all four corners, starting in the east and working deosil (clockwise).

Great angel Och, to whom it is given,
By the grace of  the One, Creator of all,
To know the mysterious ways of  the heart,
I beseech you to fill this heart up with healing,
I implore you to fill this heart up with love,
That it may beat strongly for as long as it can do,
In time with the Truth of  Below and Above.
In the name of  the all-loving Almighty.
