Ariel's name means "Lion of God," and he is often
visualized with a lion's head. Although some authorities have
called him a fallen angel, he is generally accepted in Jewish tradition
to be one of Raphael's most important helpers in the task
of healing sickness in the human realm. The lion is a
symbol of the Sun - hence the Zokiac sign of Leo, which is ruled
by the Sun. The Sun represents vitality and wellness of
being. Ariel is therefore the healing angel to call upon if
you are suffering from low energy or general debilitation. In
such cases it is worth invoking the help of Ariel with a prayer
along the following lines:
