Most traditional cultures have a deity or spirit that is invoked to help find things. In the Catholic Church, St. Anthony is the patron saint of lost objects and is regularly called upon for this purpose, particularly in Latin America. The angel who bears this particular responsibility is Rochel.
Before you petition Rochel to help you find something that has been lost or mislaid, it is important to consider first your attachment to the item in question. What is its value to you? Why is it important that it be found? Sometimes when we lose things, we can become suspicious that someone may have stolen them. We may start to suspect our friends or family. don't do it. If they say they haven't got it, accept it. Suspicion is a demon we should not entertain. Far better to let something go, forget about it, than to project such a divisive emotion onto the people around us.
We can write a petition to Rochel stating why our lost item is vluable to us or why it is important that we find it. The petition will be particularly effective if you write it in Theban script. Make a little drawing of the item in question or pop a corresponding object in the envelope with it - such as the partner of a lost earring. The trick now is to forget about it, let it go. If you can do this, you will be amazed how often something will reappear as if by magic.
